The aim of the research is to outline the issues hindering the effective enforcement of competition law and policy. Studying and preparing recommendations to solve problems based on best practices and analysis, which will contribute to the effective enforcement of competition law and policy in the era of the digital economy.
In response to the technological challenge, various competition enforcement agencies around the world have taken important steps. In particular, the decisions of the French and German competition authorities, as well as the executive and judicial authorities of the European Union and the USA, against technology companies are noteworthy. Considering the above, it is necessary for the Georgian competition policy to meet the challenges of EPO and fulfill the assigned mission.
Research has an important scientific and educational component. In particular, there is not enough research and educational literature on competition law. Moreover, there are no fundamental studies on the regulation and enforcement of Georgian competition law in terms of technology.
As a result of the conducted research, a document will be prepared in Georgian, which will be published both electronically and in printed form.
