Who we are
The European University Institute of Law is a non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entity of private law established by the European University. It is a scientific-academic platform of law that cooperates with scientific academic centers, both nationally and internationally, organizes scientific conferences, forums, discussions and debates, and implements various scientific grant projects in the direction of law.
Our mission
The mission of the Law Institute in Georgia is to promote legal awareness and civic culture, support justice and the protection of human rights, and implement innovative research and educational initiatives.
What we do
The Institute carries out its mission through four main areas:
- Legal Research
The Institute organizes research activities in the field of law based on contemporary knowledge and high academic standards. This includes research projects as well as the preparation and publication of scholarly books, monographs, and textbooks.
- Periodical Academic Publication
The Institute publishes the international scientific journal Law and World, providing a stable platform for the dissemination of contemporary legal research and for engagement within the international academic community.
- Academic Events
The Institute fosters scholarly discussion and knowledge exchange within both local and international academic communities. To this end, it regularly organizes international and national conferences, seminars, symposiums, panel discussions, and public lectures.
- Education and Professional Development
The Institute conducts certified professional training courses in law, involving both local and international experts. These courses aim to enhance the professional knowledge and skills of practitioners, researchers, and students in the legal field.
