European University Institute of Law Project Wins 2025 State Grant from Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation
An institutional project presented by the European University Institute of Law has won the 2025 State Grant Competition for Fundamental Research, organized by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia.
The project focuses on a fundamental study of the legal framework for the protection of consumer rights and interests in Georgia and assesses its compliance with European Union legal and institutional standards.
The research addresses key issues, including the provision of universal services, accessibility of electronic communication services, regulation of service quality, obligations for consumer information, fair contractual terms, personal data protection, and legal mechanisms for the enforcement of consumer rights.
Characterized by an interdisciplinary approach, the project integrates analyses from law, economics, information technology, and public policy.
The results of the study will be published as a practical guide, which will be accessible not only to the academic community but also to representatives of the public sector, regulatory bodies, the private sector, and the wider public.
