European University Institute of Law Becomes Official DORA Signatory
European University Institute of Law has officially become a signatory to the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), joining leading universities, research institutes, publishers, and scientific organisations worldwide that endorse the international principles of responsible research assessment.
Following the successful approval of its application, the Institute has been officially added to the DORA Signatories Database.
DORA is one of the world's most authoritative international initiatives aimed at promoting modern, fair, and transparent standards for the evaluation of scientific research. The declaration advocates assessing research based on its scientific quality, originality, methodological rigour, and societal impact, rather than relying primarily on journal-based metrics or bibliometric indicators. It also promotes open science, academic integrity, and the recognition of diverse research outputs.
This achievement further strengthens the Institute's international academic profile, enhances its credibility and reputation, and confirms its active engagement in global scientific initiatives and the advancement of academic excellence.
