International Conference “Prospects of Georgia accession to the European Union”

On November 25, 2023, an international conference - "Prospects of
Georgia accession to the European Union" was held at the Tbilisi Marriott
hotel organized by the European University Institute of Law.
At the conference an academic discussion was held about relations, future
perspectives and cooperation between Georgia and the European Union.
Ioseb Kelenjeridze, head of the European University Institute of Law,
opened the conference with a welcome speech.
Speeches were also delivered by Foreign expert Pierre Andrieu (former
French Ambassador to Tajikistan, Moldova, within the Black Sea and
Eastern Partnership), Davit Bujiashvili (Director of the Department of EU
Aid Coordination and Sectoral Integration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
of Georgia), Levan Meskhoradze (International Expert of the European
Union, Council of Europe), Kakha Gogolashvili (Expert of the European
Union, Director at the European Research Center of the Rondel
Foundation), Nino Mishidze (Department of EU Law at the Ministry of
Justice), Paata Gafrindashvili (Director of Georgian Reforms Association),
Diana Khomeriki (Advisor to the Speaker of the Parliament on Foreign
Relations), Tatia Dolidze (Professor of the European University, Dean of
Law Faculty at Georgian International University).
Among the guests were Professors, Researchers, Representatives of the
Georgian Government, Members of the Parliament, Non-Governmental
Sector working on the mentioned topic, and Foreign Experts.
At the conference, the monographs published within the research of the
Institute of Law:"Methodological Problems of Civil Law" by Mikheil Bichia
and "Application of Foreign Law Norms in the Process of International
Private Law" by Tamar Mskhvilidze were presented.
