Memorandum with the Max Planck Institute

October 28, 2019, Honored Professor of Germany - Hans Jörg Albrecht, the director of the Max Planck Research Institute (Freiburg) of Foreign and International Criminal Law, visited the European University Law Institute where he met the researchers of the institute. The parties talked about future scientific issues.
Within the visit framework, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Max Planck Research Institute of Foreign and International Criminal Law and the European University Law Institute. The parties discussed the prospects of future cooperation. Professor Hans Jörg Albrecht offered the European University Law Institute to cooperate in the following directions:
Joint scientific-research projects;
Research visits of the European University students and professors to the Max Planck Scientific Research Institute of Foreign and International Criminal Law;
Access to the library of the Max Planck Scientific Research Institute of Foreign and International Criminal Law, which has one of the largest resources of scientific literature in the areas of criminal law and criminology in Europe;
Participation in common scientific grant programs;
Organization of joint symposiums, workshops, and conferences;
Exchange of scientific and practical publications and information.
In addition, the parties agreed to create a joint center for crime prevention and comparative criminology on the basis of the European University.
