Panel Discussion Held at European University on “Legal Regulations of Business in Georgia

The Institute of Law of European University organized a panel discussion on the topic “Legal Regulations of Business in Georgia.”

The discussion featured Professor Roin Migriauli of the Caucasus International University, Assistant Professor Meri Ketiladze of the same university, and Gocha Kharchilava, Director of Interaudit LLC, Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Accountants’ Club Forum.

During the event, participants examined the significant legislative amendments introduced to the Law of Georgia on Entrepreneurs and discussed their impact on the business environment. The speakers addressed both the legal and practical challenges that existing enterprises may encounter as a result of the implementation of the new regulations.

The participants critically assessed the necessity of the legislative amendments, the prospects for their practical implementation, and the potential risks they may pose to the business sector. At the same time, particular attention was devoted to the positive aspects of the reform, including the improvement of corporate governance standards, the enhancement of transparency in business activities, and the promotion of compliance with contemporary legal requirements.

The event was conducted in an interactive format. Members of the academic staff of European University, as well as practicing lawyers, actively participated in the discussion, sharing their views and raising questions for the speakers.

The panel discussion provided participants with an opportunity to examine contemporary trends in the legal regulation of business and to discuss the practical implications of recent legislative developments from both, professional and academic perspectives.
