International Conference "Actual Problems of Justice 2020”

On 28th November 2020, the Fifth International Scientific Conference, "Actual Problems of Justice 2020," was organized by the European University Institute of Law.
Considering the epidemiological situation, the event was held remotely, and Georgian and foreign experts in the field of law took part in it.
Speakers at the conference discussed topical issues such as the role of the court in elections, the progress and results of justice reform, the disciplinary responsibility of judges, and the importance of the independence of the court, among others.
Kenneth L. Fields, a judge of the Supreme Court of the State of Arizona (USA), doctor of law from the University of Kentucky, and a member of the London International Court of Arbitration, as well as a member of the Association of Attorney/Mediators, delivered a speech. He focused on the role of the court during the elections in the USA, which generated great interest among the Georgian audience.
