In collaboration with the Embassy of France in Georgia, the European University Institute of Law organized an international scientific conference on "Current Issues in Justice – Juvenile Justice" on October 23, 2021, at the Courtyard Marriott.
The participating Georgian and French experts discussed the reforms and changes implemented in the field of juvenile justice in Georgia and France, using both countries as examples, and deliberated on the existing challenges.
The speakers included Pierre Clouet, Advisor for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs at the French Embassy and Director of the French Institute; Judge Marcel Klajnberg (Grenoble, France); Grégory Martin-Dit-Neuville, representative of the French Ministry of Justice; Alexander Darakhvelidze, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia; and Tatia Dolidze, Professor at European University.
The conference was attended by academic and invited staff from higher educational institutions in Georgia, as well as representatives from the French Embassy, UNICEF, and ONG.
