A series of master classes at the European University
Organized by the Institute of Law, a series of master classes was held at the European University. The event was attended by law program students of different Georgian universities on May 12, 13, and 14.
Judge Mark Speiser (Florida, USA) and lawyer Robert Trachman (Florida, USA) were the invited foreign trainers. Within the framework of the event, the following themes were discussed: Search peculiarities in the United States; Legal admissibility of confessions given by the accused during criminal prosecution; Restriction of freedom of speech on the constitutional right - freedom of assembly. The guests shared American experience with Georgian students on the mentioned topics.
The death sentence in the United States was also discussed at the request of the listeners. Judge Mark Spacer informed Georgian students about his own experience with capital punishment, which piqued their attention.
