European University Institute of Law held a book presentation. The senior scientific employees of the Institute, Mikheil Bichia and Tamar Mskhviladze, presented new monographs to the scientific community within the framework of fundamental research.

In the monograph of Mikheil Bichia: "Methodological Problems of Civil Law" is devoted to methodological issues of civil law. The study discusses the essence and features of civil legal relations, civil right-duty, subject and object of civil legal relations. A separate place was given to individuals and legal entities, as well as the so-called "Non-legal entities". At the same time, the paper describes the legislative changes made in connection with these issues. Methodological problems of civil law are studied with the help of theories and practical examples. Accordingly, both the theoretical and practical bases of the issues are discussed in the work.

In the monograph of Tamar Mskhvilidze: "Application of Foreign Law Norms in the Process of International Private Law” the topical issues related to the use of foreign law in national courts are presented, namely the difficulties of applying the content of a foreign norm, the methods of determining it, the consequences of non-determination and the possibilities of applying to local law. The paper clearly understands the diverse sources surrounding the problem, both national and international legislation and practice are discussed. The presentation of the books was carried out on November 25, 2023, at the international scientific conference organized by the Institute of Law: "Prospects of Georgia's accession to the European Union".

The textbooks are intended for law students and a wide circle of readers.
