Eka Kavelidze


Eka Kavelidze currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Humanities and Social Sciences, at the European University. Furthermore, she holds the position of Co-Head of the Bachelor’s Educational Program in Law within the same faculty.

Earning both her Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Law with distinction from Tbilisi State University, Eka benefited from scholarship programs recognizing her academic excellence. In 2017, she successfully defended her dissertation titled "Constitutional Mechanism of the Vote of No Confidence in Georgia" in the field of Constitutional Law at Tbilisi State University, attaining the academic degree of Doctor of Law.

Since 2013, Eka Kavelidze has been actively engaged as a lecturer and trainer specializing in Constitutional Law, Human Rights, and Administrative Law at various universities in Georgia, as well as within professional organizations. She currently holds the position of Affiliate Professor in Public Law at the European University. Notably, Eka secured victory in the first grant competition for doctoral educational programs conducted by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, earning recognition through the award of the Tbilisi State University medal. She became a member of the Georgian Bar Association in 2014, and since 2021, she has served as an Accreditation Expert at the National Center of Educational Quality. Additionally, she is a founder and member of the advisory board of ICON.S Georgia. Beyond her academic pursuits, Eka Kavelidze has accumulated extensive experience as a lawyer in both the public and private sectors since 2010. She has authored numerous articles, research papers, and scientific theses. Her involvement in educational, grant, and scientific-research projects organized by various universities and organizations spans various roles, including researcher, trainer, project manager, jury member, judge, arbitrator, evaluator, organizer, reviewer, and scientific supervisor. Eka Kavelidze actively supervises and evaluates a multitude of master's theses and doctoral program student research papers.
